Texas Ranch Engagement Session | Morgan & Jesse

Couples/Engagements

Back in December 2017, I met Jesse and Morgan at a wedding, Carly and Joseph’s wedding to be exact! I only talked to Morgan for a whole split second, but I knew I liked her! Somehow I started following her on Instagram, found out she was a teacher, and then I practically nerded out over her teaching stories and her Teachers Pay Teachers page. Bet she doesn’t even know that!
Needless to say, I’ve followed them for a while and I have waited on the moment these two were engaged!! I mean I didn’t know if they were going to want to work with me or not… but if they reached out, I WAS READY FOR IT! Ha! Lucky for me days after the proposal Morgan reached out to me and we became officially official. Score! We then began engagement session planning and these two landed us the perfect place to shoot. Guys, Rural Shade Outpost in Kerens, TX is a brand new wedding venue that lives on a massive 2,600 acre ranch with huge trees, rolling fields (with wildflowers in the spring) and the most adorable ceremony and reception sites. If you’re planning a wedding or an event… go check them out!

Anywho, back to Morgan and Jesse! As soon as I saw them the day of their engagement session, I knew it was going to be a great day. Their outfits were just perfect and the weather was amazing. It was going to be a beautiful day! It may have been a bit humid but that is just par for the course on a summer day in Texas! These two jumped in the back of the new 4runner (Graycie) and adventured all over the ranch (mud and all) with Cody and I. Basically… these portraits make me so happy!! Enjoy!
