Our sweet Baby Ray has a nursery! This beautiful space, the smallest little corner of our house that has the cutest dutch door, is finally finished and I’m so excited to show it off to the few of you that read here.
I started with a neutral/wooden/mauvey pink theme and then found pieces one by one to make her room feel complete. Every wall in our house is white and Cody and I didn’t really want to change that because it just feels so clean. I love that we got to incorporate all kinds of wood grains and that her crib stands alone in all it’s vintage iron glory (which I also picked in case we ever had a boy and it was the best gift from my parents because I’ll probably keep it forever). I also really wanted something that she could grow into over the years and I wanted it to be pretty because this is the least dog hair infested room in the house so this is likely where we will be playing on the floor the most. Real life!
I sit in here often dreaming about who she will be, reflecting on all the things that were gifted to her before she even arrived, and how much love she will be born into. We are thankful and blessed! Enjoy scrolling through all the details and stories of my favorite room in the house!
Here is it! Every piece we bought or redid with intention for it to be put to good use for a long time. Her crib will most definitely be passed down to her siblings. The most comfortable rocker on the planet will also be shared one day. Her daddy built the blanket ladder and the little white table was a hand-me-down from my aunt. Then there’s the gorgeous rug that I’m so proud of. I hope she lets me keep it in her room decor for forever!
The cutest gift from the best bride. Can’t wait to see little miss walking around the house with this camera around here neck. Probably going to be the most adorable thing on the planet!
Reading is important for us and I knew I wanted her to have bookshelves full of our childhood favorites and some new ones thrown in. The book, You Belong Here, on the bottom shelf was a gift from our sweet friends and if you’ve never read it to your little ones… you need to get it now. It’s precious!
Little Women is one of my favorite books ever and since Rifle Paper Company redid the cover, I knew I had to show it off and read it to her early on in life. Will she be strong like Jo? Loving like Meg? Sweet like Beth? Or creative like Amy?
I bought this dresser a few years ago. Most of the furniture in our house is because I bought it for cheap and refinished it. We were so young and on a military budget when we first got married that that’s what we had to do, but a little part of me did always dream that I would be able to use one of these pretty white dressers for our little girl’s room. So glad I hung onto this piece when we moved in to this house because it is PERFECT!
