The heart of a wedding day is about much more than pretty flowers, grand venues, or glowy sunset portraits. I’m the first in line to shoot those things, believe me, but when the elements are stacked against you on your big day it puts things in perspective. A brand new marriage and lifelong commitment is what is important and no matter what happens at the end of the day you will be married to your best friend!
Katie and Hunter’s wedding is the prime example of pushing through the elements and enjoying the moment. A Texas forecast is complicated. It’s hard to plan anything because weather around here can change at the drop of the hat. After last minute venue changes to keep their loved ones and guests safe from tornado warnings and crazy whipping rains… this is one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever photographed! High five to the amazing team that kept this big day rolling along!
Their love radiates through this post. Just wait until you see the highlights from this wedding… especially their last minute First Look. The emotion and the love is real and raw in these images and I couldn’t be happier Katie and Hunter shared this moment with each other. And you just wait until you get to the reception! The band killed it, the guests tore up the dance floor, and it was one of the best celebrations I’ve ever seen!
Welcome Mr. & Mrs. Melton to the blog, y’all! 🙂
