I am typing this post thousands feet in the air on my way home Florida. I am giddy still thinking about the weekend and how honored I was to be able to photograph Nick & Chelsea’s special day in Pensacola. Cody & I met Nick close to two years ago in Norfolk. When new guys transfer in to the office on base, let’s just say they are fully scoped out (via Facebook creeping) before arriving and Nick just happened to be one of those new guys. One day, Cody invited him to join his team at the flag football game and the rest is history. We were lucky enough to hang out with Nick & Chelsea a handful of times before everyone’s lives went through some change and everything got crazy. Still, I am thankful for our friendship and I am thankful for this sweet couple for trusting me (and flying me in) for their wedding day! They treated me like family and gave me an experience I will never forget!

Nick & Chelsea met in Pensacola at their first stop for Navy schooling. Their first date was at the lighthouse, Nick proposed at the same lighthouse, and guess what? They had their wedding there too! Throughout the day, I could only imagine how special this spot was to them and I wanted to do my absolute best to capture each aspect perfectly. The entire day was filled with laughter and excitement for these two to walk down the aisle. There were friends and family from Mississippi, Wyoming, Nebraska, and more who came to celebrate with Nick & Chelsea. That was a sure sign of just how much these two are loved!
