Best weekend ever! Since living on the east coast, I have grown to LOVE the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  Cody knew I probably wouldn’t want to go anywhere else but there.  So we chalked the weekend up to finally celebrating our anniversary and we actually got a hotel room and stayed two days.  We splurged on the ocean side room so we could get up at 5:00AM to watch the sunset and it was worrrrrth it!! 

We spent Saturday on the beach and packed the Yeti full of food + drinks.  We relaxed and just hung out.  The beauty of the Outer Banks is that even during peak season, it’s not nearly as crazy as Virginia Beach and for those of you Texas peeps who vacation to the Destin from time to time, it’s even more chill and laid back than that.  I just love it!  The water isn’t near as warm, but for the east coast it works!! 

Day two we spent watching the sunrise, adventuring through Manteo, and down towards Hatteras.  We saw the Bodie Island Lighthouse.  We got Front Porch Cafe coffee again.  We stopped at little shops and then we napped really hard after we got home, because waking up to watch the sunrise is no joke.

It sure feels good to be back.  I’m sad I have to leave, but I’m trying not to think about it.  Soaking up every moment y’all!! xoxo
