So many amazing things I could say about this sweet couple. But the most important thing I want whoever reading this to know is… I’m so glad they are together forever!
I’ve known Presley since high school and I met Travis in 2014 when I photographed a ring dunk (Bree Smith Brauchle has been supporting my photog skills for ages – thanks friend <3). The weekend of the ring dunk was interesting… you see I was the Longhorn heading into Aggieland to take part in some tradition I didn’t even understand. I didn’t have a car in Austin, so I rode to College Station with Bree’s friend, Jordan (who I had never met before, but was later one of my brides – love her!) and ended up staying with my best friend, Katie, who luckily chauffeured me wherever I needed to be that weekend. It was a whirlwind, but I got there!
Before the ring dunk, we hung out at Bree’s apartment and Presley was there so of course I gravitated toward whoever I knew. She sat with me and we talked and talked about Cody and I, military life, and how to make those kind of long distance relationships survive. At that time, she had plenty of advice to give and to this day I’ll always remember how sweet she was to me that day. Fast forward to that evening… pictures are taken, rings are dunked, and I get to take a break to eat and hang out with all of these Aggies. Cue meeting Travis – the literal nicest guy in the world! He treated me like he had known me for years and took me from feeling like the odd ball out instantly. He was like, “Oh cool! You go to UT? Sweet, I’m from Austin.” And I was just like, “Thank you, Lord, for no T.U. jokes.” Presley ends up eating in the grass with us and it was just us three. At the time, these two were just friends, but now that I’m writing this down… it makes sense that they ended up together. The two most comforting and kind people from that day are officially married and I can almost feel God winking at me right now.
Their wedding day truly embodied everything that these two are and believe in. Travis is so sweet to Presley and I know she would go to the ends of the Earth to love him and love him well. It was an honor to photograph their wedding that was full of so much joy and happiness. From the amazing and heartfelt toasts all the way to their last dance… it was a day to be remembered! Congratulations Travis & Presley! Thank you for choosing Cody and I to tell your love story and thank you for always loving us with your big hearts!! We love you guys!!
