We know that plans are made to be broken. We know that we are never fully in control. We know that the big man upstairs is writing our story long before it is ever played out.  That is where I am in life right now.
I’ll jump right into it… I’m moving home. You read that right. I have to leave my two boys in Virginia and come home for school. When I moved, I overlooked the fact that I would need to do my two teaching practicums in a Texas school, or even do them at all.  I thought I’d have to move back in the Fall of 2017, but I didn’t really think about those darn practicums that are moving me back a little earlier than I intended.

There are pros and cons to this situation of course. I will definitely miss my husband and our cute little pup, Tripp. I will miss my Virginia friends that I feel like I’m JUST getting to know.  I will miss Virginia in general, because I don’t feel like I’ve really gotten to explore all of it.  There are of course some perks… Cody is moving in with some friends so we will save money. I will be able to get us settled at home so his transition from the Navy to the civilian world will be a lot smoother in February of 2018. I will be able to kick my part-time job back into gear and photograph my favorite people, and well… it is just good to be home, but I will be wishing my little family was with me the whole time I’m here. Distance ain’t a thang for Cody and I though. We’ve conquered it before and we will conquer it again. We definitely aren’t the only military couple that has lived apart by choice just because it made sense for the future.

So here are the details for those of you wanting to book within the next year… 🙂

• I will be back in the fall. Most likely in August just so I can get settled.
• I have weddings in the fall and I couldn’t be more excited. My brides will be so pampered and should expecting a little gift. I am still available if you need me! <3
• I will begin searching for senior reps for the Class of 2017!
• Mini sessions will happen again in the fall. Yay!
• I will be advertising my Lifestyle Newborn sessions like crazy, because everyone needs those types of pictures with their sweet babe.

So there you have it folks. I’ll be here with my camera ready to make some memories.  This is definitely one bittersweet blog post, but we are doing what we have to do. Bettering our future is important for Cody and I, so this is exactly where we need to be in life. Thank you for the never-ending support whether I’m in Virginia or Texas. I’ll always be thankful for you and I can’t wait to be back! xoxo
