23 years ago today God placed you on this Earth with those awesome green brown eyes and the cutest crooked smile.  I told you this last night around 1AM after Landon blew up your phone, but I am so glad you were born.  You’re my best friend on the whole entire planet even when you drive me insane. 

23 years ago God knew that you and I would meet and our paths would cross.  I’m so thankful he thought of me when he thought of you.  I’m thankful I decided to go to Wingstop that night.  I’m thankful that you asked me to be your wife.  I’m thankful for you. 

23 years ago your life began and you have done a lot during those years.  During the last few months, I have watched you transform into a leader and a strong husband.  I have watched you encounter heartbreak and handle it with grace.  I have watched you be kind to others even when they were not kind to you.  I have enjoyed watching you grow and I cannot wait to see what you accomplish in the next 23 years. 

23 feels closer to 25 than 20.  It is a number than almost makes you feel like you’re finally grasping adulthood, but let’s be honest about that! Hehe!  Obviously, time flies.  It never ever slows down once you are old enough to understand it.  My birthday wish for you is that you hang on to every moment and really, really live life to the fullest.  Cliche, I know, but it’s true.
